14,000 Feet in the SKY!

January 17, 2016

As a Christmas gift, my boyfriend took me skydiving! The weather in Florida has been cloudy so I was excited when the sun finally came out. I would consider myself to be an adrenaline junkie. I love the anticipation and energy burst that I get from the adrenaline. The feeling of tummyflies didn’t make me feel nervous but more giddy and excited. I have tried indoor skydiving and I feel like outdoor skydiving is a lot easier. We went to Skydive Spaceland in Clewiston, Florida. Everyone there was great and they made the whole experience even better!

You don’t really have time to think when it is your turn to jump. I was the last one out of the plane. One moment I was inside and the next thing I knew I was tumbling out. It was cold since we were at high altitudes, making it hard to breathe through my mouth. Hence the drool in the picture (laughs). We were dropping at a speed of 120 mph but honestly it didn’t really feel that fast. My instructor did some twirls in the air which was really fun! My boyfriend got to do some tumble rolls and more interactive stuff since it was his second time jumping. The cool thing about the whole experience was that everything felt really peaceful and quiet up in the air.

I will definitely be jumping a second time soon and will be working towards getting my license to jump solo! Due to some regulations, I was not able to use my GoPro to record a video but the instructors took a lot of photos and made a video for me. I decided to create a timelapse of the whole experience so I hope you enjoy it!

It is hard to explain the whole feeling in words so if you are looking for an adrenaline rush. DO THIS!

Thanks for reading! Until next time!

      1. It is the most anazing feeling! Thank you for the compliment! I wish they gave me the video of the whole jump. 😀
